South Elementary PTO is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the experience of the South Elementary community. This includes children, teachers, staff, parents, caregivers, family, and friends. It is a partnership bringing parents and teachers together with the goal of supporting the school as a whole.
By working together, we raise money to fund incredible cultural enrichment programs, field trips, recess equipment and fields, teacher appreciation activities, mini-grants, and more.
We also harness the combined volunteer force that is the South School community. Labors of love at South School include Winterfest, Field Day, Community Service Projects, and chairing one of our many committees.
Our organization is entirely volunteer-based. We encourage all parents and caregivers to get involved with our PTO, and accept everyone, regardless of a donation. We are actively inclusive, and appreciate everyone's efforts.
Our board consists of co-presidents Brindey Marine and Moriah Rogers, Co-Vice Presidents Alison Chamberlain and Amber Gladeau, Secretary Sue MacDonald, Treasurer Laura Glennon, Communications Rep. Jen Gallagher, and Cultural Enrichment Chairs Amanda Parker and Melissa Gray. They are supported by an amazing list of committee chairs who run the many programs of South School PTO.
